The food is really good and the portions are pretty generous too. The older uncle, who I think might be the owner, was really nice. He even let me come in and order before they were officially open, which I really appreciated. Unfortunately, I didn’t really feel welcomed by the other two male staff members. When I went to the counter to pay, neither of them really acknowledged or spoke to me, which felt a little uncomfortable. Overall, I enjoyed the food and thought the older gentleman was very kind. I just wish the other staff members were a bit more welcoming and friendly.

The best Vietnamese food experience, I have ever had. I haven't been to Vietnam, but this makes me want to go there now. Every dish was so flavorful, full of love, and just fresh and delicious. Highly recommended. Sydney is the most delightful, warm hostess. It's a gem that we stumbled upon, and we are so glad we found it. Definately a repeat dining spot.

One of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants in Chicago. My go to spot if I'm craving something else other than pho and bahn mi--although they do those well. One of the few places in Chicago that have banh khot (mini crispy shrimp pancakes) and the best bowl of Mi Quang. They also have the best Vietnamese egg coffee--strong, rich, and sweet. Too many other places in the city make it too weak. Their clay pot rice with short rib and bone marrow is SOOOO delicious--a must try if its on the menu. The staff is small but very friendly and sweet. Highly, highly recommend this place!

I recently toured Vietnam from North to South, so I had a real craving for authentic Bún Chả. Google led me to this spot—and wow, what a treat. I started with a delicious iced coffee, a fresh spring roll, and of course the Bún Chả. Everything was spot on—fresh, flavorful, and exactly what I was hoping for. What made the experience even better was the warm service. Sydney greeted me with the biggest smile—so kind and welcoming. It really added something special to the meal. Before leaving, I grabbed several dishes to go—salads, soups, noodle dishes, and another Bún Chả. Every single item reflected high-quality ingredients and thoughtful preparation. This is the real deal. I’ll definitely be back—for the food and for Sydney’s smile.

Just trust me when I say that this is the best Vietnamese restaurant in Chicago. I can not emphasize enough how good the quality of food is each and every time we go to DaNang Kitchen. My go to: Pho with everything and Vietnamese egg coffee. The owners make me feel like home. One of the reasons I keep returning every time to try more of their dishes cooked with so much love. 6/5⭐️, and if I could give it more stars - I would. Don’t hesitate to visit, its so worth it.
